Tina Peters
Veterinary Assistant

Tina joined the AFAH team as a Veterinary Assistant in March, 2006. She came to us with several years of veterinary experience and a natural love of animals. In fact, her very first job was at an animal hospital and she has been hooked ever since.
A native of Ashburn, Tina graduated from Broad Run High School in 2003. After graduating high school, Tina took a break from education to work full time at an animal hospital. After her short break, she enrolled in classes at Cedar Valley College and is currently earning her Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology.
Tina has chosen veterinary medicine as a career because of her love for animals, stemming from her childhood. She shares her home with Ajax and Murdock, two lovely Leonbergers. A Leonberger is a rare breed dog, consisting of genetic ties to the Newfoundland, St. Bernard, and Great Pyrenese. Tina also lives with Brillo, a domestic short haired cat. Brillo thinks of himself as one of the dogs. He even plays fetch!
We at AFAH are very fortunate to have Tina on our team. She has a gentle nature that the animals appreciate. Our patients are always soothed by Tina’s presence during their visits. Tina contributes a wealth of veterinary knowledge and technical abilities. In addition, she is a true animal lover with a strong and reliable work ethic.
